Today, we’re bringing that idea to the New York Fashion Week runway with Rachel Antonoff and Susan Alexandra.
For their third annual Best in Show—a star-studded runway show meets adoptable dog pageant—Rachel Antonoff and Susan Alexandra selected Etsy as the show’s official creative partner, extending the world of Best in Show with its first-ever merch collection, co-created with Etsy sellers.
Available exclusively on Etsy starting today, the limited-edition Best in Show Collection by Rachel Antonoff & Susan Alexandra was co-designed by Rachel and Susan in partnership with Etsy sellers, bringing their signature creative worlds together with the craftsmanship and creativity of independent makers.
The nine-piece collection makes its debut on the Best in Show runway today alongside Rachel and Susan’s newest collections, with select pieces featuring the same prints and motifs seen in their new lines. Each piece was co-designed with an Etsy seller, including one special design created by Rachel and Susan together that combines Rachel’s playful prints with Susan’s signature beading.
As dog moms and designers themselves, Rachel and Susan know that pets aren't on the sidelines of life's meaningful moments, they're right there with us. This shared perspective inspired a collection designed to celebrate everything from Gotcha Days to the everyday moments that pet parents want to make special.
“There’s really no limit to the ways we want to include our pets in our lives anymore, and I say that as someone who is fully guilty of it with my own dog, Lafitte. We wanted to make pieces that feel special and a little playful, but that also reflect how much our pets genuinely mean to us. Seeing Etsy sellers take our ideas and bring their own craft and creativity to them made the whole thing even better.” says Rachel Antonoff.
“Rachel and I have been doing Best in Show together for three years, but we’d never actually designed a collection together. Getting to combine our different design worlds, and then have Etsy sellers bring their own creativity and craft to it, felt like the perfect first. And naturally, we made it for dogs, because Pigeon would expect nothing less.” says Susan Alexandra.
